Development & Support

At VCCP, we want to ensure everyone has the opportunity to thrive at work – whether that’s by helping you define your career path through bespoke development plans and 1-2-1 coaching, or making sure you know where to turn if you need personal support. Our Thrive programme of support and development covers everything you need.

Nicola Longhurst

Nicola joined VCCP for one year but now nearly 10 years on she has been passionately leading the people agenda at VCCP. Nicola’s ambition is to create an environment where everyone can thrive and be their best.  In her time at VCCP she has led the development of our thrive brand which recognises our people as individuals with wellbeing, diversity & inclusion and learning and development at the heart of everything we do to ensure our people have the greatest possible experience at VCCP.

Thrive

Thrive is a great word, it means to flourish, prosper and grow successfully which is what we want you all to do.

Thrive is our career development brand, investing in providing opportunities for you to be the best you possibly can.

Learning opportunities

Your career is incredibly important to us at VCCP, and this is why we put your development in your hands. Our L&D Programme is designed to put you in the driver seat of your career, allowing you to select the training that fits your individual needs, as well as offering 1-2-1 career coaching and bespoke development plans.

VCCP is also a member of the IPA which means that you can access a number of benefits such as free industry-specific training, qualifications, webinars, events and more.

Curious

In a world where one rogue tweet can change the course of history, it’s difficult to always keep abreast of the latest developments. Happily, at VCCP we run a knowledge sharing programme called Curious which aims to keep our people clued-up on the latest innovations emerging out of the multi-faceted tech creative and publishing industries.

Wellbeing

Our employee’s wellbeing is a top priority at VCCP, whether our people are working from home or from our offices. That’s why we have a wide range of benefits and programmes available to all employees, both in person or virtually, from free counselling to mindful practices such as guided meditations or yoga. Throughout the year we run training sessions,  workshops and events which provide practical advice, tools and techniques on a wide range of topics from sleep & resilience, financial planning and mental health awareness to menopause and puppy therapy.

Through our partnership with NABS, we offer access to a huge range of resources to support your wellbeing, from coaching and mentoring, to masterclasses and webinars. The NABS Advice line also gives you access to expert, impartial and friendly advice.

Our Employee Assistance Programme is a free service that gives our people 24-hour personal assistance – any time, day or night, you can talk in confidence to a qualified adviser. The service is designed to provide you with professional support, information, and counselling.
