We launched our new work for Paddy Power, 'Feel Like a Favourite'. This campaign speaks to Paddy Power's great customer experience, content, offers and rewards, which give the brand's fans an extra advantage going into the race day. Paddy Power promises that you won't just "feel like a pinter, you'll feel like a favourite".
Our latest advert for Paddy Power shows Peter preparing to watch the Festival at home, while being commented on by racing presenters Matt Chapman and Gina Bryce, as if they're assessing a horse ahead of a big race.
The tongue-in-cheek ad opens on Peter in bed, waggling his enormous feet as he watches the racing- introduced by Chapman as "number four, definitely punching". Abbey proceeds to throw Peter a pair of lucky pants, before he flicks through various football shirts in the wardrobe, Chapman quipping "he's moved stables a lot", referencing the twelve different clubs that he has played for.
Eventually, Crouch settles down onto the couch to watch all the action, where he accepts a snack from Abbey, a crunchy carrot. Of course. Cheltenham's most successful jockey of all time, Ruby Walsh, makes a cameo, remarking "Even the Irish will back this English banker".
Michelle Spillane, Marketing & Brand Director, UK & Ireland, said: “Paddy Power was born at the races – and with our sublime new proposition Feel Like A Favourite we wanted to reach new audiences and excite them with all that’s great about this brilliant, brave sport.
Feel Like A Favourite is that moment when you look across at everyone else in the starting stalls, and you just know you’ve got the advantage. And that’s exactly what it feels like heading into raceday armed with the Paddy Power app. Like Frankel racing against donkeys. Kevin Masters, Creative Director at VCCP
