{"id":11590,"date":"2016-06-08T17:11:37","date_gmt":"2016-06-08T16:11:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vccp.com\/?post_type=work&#038;p=11590"},"modified":"2020-08-24T14:59:31","modified_gmt":"2020-08-24T13:59:31","slug":"rics","status":"publish","type":"work","link":"https:\/\/www.vccp.com\/uk\/work\/royal-institute-of-chartered-surveyors\/rics","title":{"rendered":"Cities for our future"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"lazyblock-video-1ndn4d wp-block-lazyblock-video\"><section class=\"fullwidth\">\r\n  <div class=\"container\">\r\n    <div class=\"embed-responsive embed-responsive-16by9 \" data-component=\"video\">\r\n      <iframe data-src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/287217828?title=0&amp;byline=0&amp;portrait=0&amp;color=6cbef1&amp;playsinline=0\" class=\"lazyload\" allowfullscreen title=\"\"><\/iframe>          <\/div>\r\n  <\/div>\r\n<\/section><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"lazyblock-two-column-text-quote-image-Z29AP1q wp-block-lazyblock-two-column-text-quote-image\"><section class=\"fullwidth fullwidth--overflow \" data-aos=\"fade-up\">\r\n  <div class=\"container container--spaced-lg\">\r\n    \r\n    <div class=\"row\">\r\n      \r\n      <div class=\"col-md-6\">\r\n                \r\n                <blockquote class=\"blockquote blockquote--md-right\">\r\n          2018 marks the 150th Anniversary of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).                  <\/blockquote>\r\n                \r\n  \t\t\t      <\/div>\r\n      \r\n      <div class=\"col-md-6\">\r\n    \t\t<p>Throughout its history, RICS and the surveyors who are its members have been instrumental in safeguarding and future proofing cities, buildings and land around the world.\u00a0 Today RICS is a global body with over 200,000 members around the world.\u00a0<br \/><br \/>To celebrate the anniversary and position surveying as an attractive and relevant career for today\u2019s graduates, we created Cities for our Future, a global competition challenging students and young professionals to come up with solutions to some of the most pressing problems facing cities around the world \u2013 all for the chance to change the world and take home \u00a350,000.<\/p>  \t\t<\/div>\r\n  \t\t\r\n    <\/div>\r\n    \r\n  <\/div>\r\n<\/section><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"lazyblock-image-full-width-2iaySJ wp-block-lazyblock-image-full-width\"><section class=\"fullwidth fullwidth--img\">\n    <img data-src=\"https:\/\/www.vccp.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/RICS-PR.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"lazyload img-fluid\">\n\n<\/section><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"lazyblock-text-full-width-1mJUkB wp-block-lazyblock-text-full-width\"><section class=\"fullwidth text-center\" data-aos=\"fade-up\">\n  <div class=\"container\">\n    \n    \n    <h4>The VCCP PR team worked alongside our colleagues to deliver a truly integrated campaign to develop and launch the competition, recruit two key partners \u2013 UNESCO (UK Commission) and The Association of Commonwealth Universities \u2013 and drive entries.<\/h4>\n  <\/div>\n<\/section><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"lazyblock-two-column-side-by-side-text-inline-image-button-Z23TzPO wp-block-lazyblock-two-column-side-by-side-text-inline-image-button\"><section class=\"fullwidth fullwidth--overflow\" data-aos=\"fade-up\">\n  <div class=\"container container--spaced-lg\">\n\n    <div class=\"row\">\n            <div class=\"col-md-6\">\n\n        <div class=\"text-image-item\">\n        \n                    \n          <div class=\"content\">\n                        \n                        <div class=\"p\">\n              <p>To ensure our campaign was relevant in countries right around the world, we worked alongside regional governments and RICS members to identify 24 problems in different cities spread around the globe.\u00a0 We worked with RICS teams in each market to launch the competition and assist them in recruiting judges and mentors to advise entrants on how to develop their ideas.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>            <\/div>\n                        \n                      <\/div>\n\n        <\/div>        \n      <\/div>\n            <div class=\"col-md-6\">\n\n        <div class=\"text-image-item\">\n        \n                    \n          <div class=\"content\">\n                        \n                        <div class=\"p\">\n              <p>A strong call to action to enter was communicated with a category-defying campaign across digital, social, print, partnerships and PR. Just six weeks into the competition period we\u2019ve already seen over 100,000 views of our video content and driven over 10,000 visits to the competition website site and media coverage has appeared in a wide range of media outlets across the target markets.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>            <\/div>\n                        \n                      <\/div>\n\n        <\/div>        \n      <\/div>\n      \n    <\/div>\n\n  <\/div>\n<\/section><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"lazyblock-two-column-text-image-top-aligned-1Cngwy wp-block-lazyblock-two-column-text-image-top-aligned\"><section class=\"fullwidth fullwidth--overflow aos-init aos-animate\" data-aos=\"fade-up\">\r\n    <div class=\"container container--spaced-lg\">\r\n        <div class=\"row\">\r\n            <div class=\"col-md-6\">\r\n                <div class=\"embed-responsive embed-responsive-1by1 img-inline img-offset-left-md\">\r\n                    <picture class=\"embed-responsive-item\">\r\n                        <source data-srcset=\"https:\/\/www.vccp.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/Screen-Shot-20180829-at-102001.jpg 768w\">\r\n                        <img data-src=\"https:\/\/www.vccp.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/Screen-Shot-20180829-at-102001.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"lazyload img-fluid img-1-1\">\r\n                    <\/picture>\r\n                <\/div>\r\n            <\/div>\r\n            <div class=\"col-md-6\">\r\n                <p>The campaign will move on to regional judging before a global shortlist and an overall winner are announced later in the year.
