They say good news comes to those who wait, but sometimes it also comes to those who get an email from Campaign sheepishly admitting that they accidentally had an Oscars La La Land moment. It\u2019s okay, we forgive them. Because as it turns out, we can add another award to our Campaign UK Agency of the Year awards tally and it’s an exciting one. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n<\/section><\/div>\n\n

Chris and Jonny (never Jonny and Chris) are the (intentionally) wonky-shaped heart of VCCP\u2019s UK creative leadership. As joint Chief Creative Officers they work to ensure that what we make at VCCP adds value to our clients by populating culture.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re delighted to see them recognised by Campaign\u2019s panel of expert judges. They share this honour with the previously announced Felipe Serradourada Guimaraes, executive creative director of BBH London.<\/p>\n

As leaders, Chris and Jonny celebrate the \u2018wrong answers’. They encourage creatives to come in with thinking from odd angles: using odd media, using AI in a surprising way, thinking differently about packaging (like Cadbury Made to Share<\/a>) or clothing (like Allwyn Scratchcardigans<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Last year, they were instrumental to VCCP achieving our best and strongest year of creative output to date, including being the most awarded independent agency at Cannes Lions, the most awarded agency at Campaign Big and a host of other recognitions including 4 D&AD pencils and two Grands Prix at Eurobest.<\/p>\n

On receiving the Campaign honour, the two said:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a thrill to be named creative leaders of the year. Ok, so we should have found out a few weeks ago but to be honest, we were knee deep in pitches and dentist appointments and couldn\u2019t have gone out on the razzle dazzle anyway. So this revised timing of winning actually suits us beautifully so thanks for the award and thanks, honestly, for the delay. We\u2019ll be in the Newman Arms for the rest of the week if anyone needs us. x<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n
