The highly emotive films reminded us of the selfless, loving efforts carers make on a daily basis.<br \/><br \/>They are delighted to announce they won a Silver pencil at the One Show awards this week for the film \u2018Hairspray\u2019, which was part of this campaign. This was the highest awarded piece of Pharma work in the entire show and is the first One Show pencil for the agency.\u00a0<br \/><br \/>In the film, we see an elderly gentleman entering a hair academy where, over a period of time, he learns how to become a stylist. As the film continues, we realise he has, in fact, been training to style the hair of his ill wife; lifting her spirits with his caring efforts.<br \/><br \/>Brett O&#8217;Connor, ECD, VCCP Health Commented \u201cIt was one of those rare moments when during the pitch, the script captured the clients hearts and tears were shed. We went straight into production, and while filming it we knew we were watching something special. This included Noor Shaker who founded GTN, a company that uses quantum physics and machine learning to search potential drug molecules. We also enjoyed a live demo of a diagnostic tool created by\\u00a0\\u003ca href=\\u0022https:\\\/\\\/deepmind.com\\\/applied\\\/deepmind-health\\\/working-partners\\\/health-research-tomorrow\\\/moorfields-eye-hospital-nhs-foundation-trust\\\/\\u0022\\u003eMoorfield Eye Hospital and DeepMind\\u003c\\\/a\\u003e\\u00a0\\u2013 currently in beta testing, its success could mean patients in the most remote parts of the world can access life-changing ophthalmic care.\\u003cbr \\\/\\u003e\\u003cbr \\\/\\u003e\\u003cstrong\\u003e6. UK lifespans may be increasing \\u2013 but our healthspans are not\\u003cbr \\\/\\u003e\\u003c\\\/strong\\u003eDespite all the innovation in health, it was shocking to discover from Professor Sally Davies that, while life expectancy in the UK has improved, \\u2018health expectancy\\u2019 (how long you live a healthy life) has gone backwards, especially for the poorer sections of society.
