VCCP, in collaboration with our partner agencies SomeOne and Unbnd, are thrilled to announce we have won SIX awards across three award shows

The activation

At the beginning of 2021 we launched an industry first, allowing students to explore the wonderful ‘worlds of design’ in Augmented Reality (AR) for Billy Blue College of Design. 

In the experience there are five 3D worlds, each visualising a landscape inspired by a different discipline. Each showcasing work that is either created or inspired by students, giving users an exciting taste of what they could be creating in the future.

The wins

This new and engaging experience has proven to be both successful with prospective students, as well as sweeping up multiple awards, including:

  • B&T awards: Best use of VR/AR
  • AGDA Design Awards: Pinnacle for Design Effectiveness
  • AGDA Design Awards: Distinction for Digital
  • Effective Mobile Marketing Awards: Most Effective TikTok Campaign
  • Effective Mobile Marketing Awards: Most Effective AR/VR Campaign
  • Effective Mobile Marketing Awards: Grand Prix

A small and highly collaborative team put this project together, and it’s success is a trifecta of quality of insight, craft of experience and creativity of campaign.

To win the crown in Design Effectiveness you need to be more than just a pretty face, you need to be a triple threat. Strategy, style and of course, most importantly, success. This campaign had all three in spade. The work was fun, engaging, sharable and sexy, and a brilliant demonstration of what is possible with a Billy Blue education Sam Dobie, Juror, AGDA Design Awards
