GOVT VCCP brings together the creative minds and challenger spirit of GOVT, Ministry and VCCP Singapore. Working with clients across Asia-Pacific,
our challenger attitude transforms the fortunes of our clients.<\/p>\n

We have a motto: It only works if it all works, which is why we involve ourselves in far more than just advertising. With a thorough understanding of each client\u2019s business, we can challenge what\u2019s around it, and then transform it.<\/p>\n

Of course, it\u2019s not all about business. We love to be lauded with creative awards and are proud of our ever-increasing haul. Time and time again, we\u2019ve seen a direct link between our award-winning work and the upturn in the fortunes of clients who ran it. So here\u2019s another little motto: Good work works.

\n Katya Obolensky \n Chief Growth Officer <\/span> <\/h3>\n \n
\n

Katya has over fifteen years of experience working at top advertising agencies in both NYC and London. Having started her career on the Microsoft\u00a0account at JWT NYC, Katya then moved to London to work at M&C Saatchi – working across\u00a0a range of clients including Hyundai, Currys\/PC World, Public Health England, and Havana Club. After starting a few cultural initiatives, she then took on a network role helping to nurture the international offices as well as pitch for international clients – one of whom was BASF which she won and then went on to run.\u00a0<\/p>\n

When she was ready for a change, Katya joined VCCP in 2015 where she decided to try her hand at Telco, working specifically on O2 in London. From there she went on to run the entire fully\u00a0integrated account giving her\u00a0exposure to every aspect of an extremely\u00a0multi-faceted brand. When O2 and Virgin Media merged, she was part of the pitch team that retained O2 and won Virgin Media, going on to run both brands, delivering award winning work and, most recently, achieving the most effective Q4 yet. Now in Singapore, she continues to\u00a0nurture her interest in truly understanding her client’s business and further expanding VCCP\u2019s APAC presence.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Outside of work you can find\u00a0Katya exploring new restaurants, chasing her young kids around a splash park or hopping on a plane to explore somewhere new!\u00a0\u00a0<\/p> <\/div>\n \n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/section><\/div>\n\n

\n Andrew Hook \n Regional Executive Creative Director<\/span> <\/h3>\n \n
\n

Hailing from Auckland, New Zealand, Andrew first plied his trade in Middle Earth, working at boutique shop Generator for five years. Then in 2005, restlessness took hold of him, so he packed his bags and set sail for the tropics.\u00a0<\/p>\n

His first stop was the venerable Batey Ads in Singapore. He was promoted to ECD of Batey at the tender age of 32, and managed the global relaunch of Qatar Airways out of the Singapore office.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He then spent 4 years at DDB, as creative lead for the Health Promotion Board, before taking the reins in 2014 at Havas. During his tenure there, the agency\u2019s work was recognised at Cannes, Spikes, One Show, D&AD and the Effies, while also picking up metal at the Agency of the Year Awards in back-to-back years.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In early 2019, Andrew joined VCCP Singapore as Regional Executive Creative Director.\u00a0<\/p> <\/div>\n \n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/section><\/div>\n\n

\n Ismail Jooma \n Head of Planning , APAC<\/span> <\/h3>\n \n
\n

With a background in Visual Communication and a Master\u2019s Degree in Communication Strategy, Ismail prides himself on operating at the intersection of brand and customer experience. <\/em>His professional journey has taken him across a range of network agencies including Ogilvy and TBWA, most recently VMLY&R Singapore where he was Head of Strategy.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ismail’s career portfolio has spanned various industries including technology (Apple, MTN), automotive (Hyundai), FMCG (Coca-Cola and Colgate), Broadcast (DStv Africa, SuperSport), banking (HSBC, Standard Chartered), quick-serve restaurants (KFC, Nando\u2019s) and fashion retail (Nike, Edgars).<\/p>\n

With a design-thinking led approach to brand challenges, Ismail is skilled at crafting strategies that inspire rich creative ideas that drive business results. Most recently Ismail led communications strategy for Apple across APAC and designed customer experience strategies for clients at Accenture Song Singapore, showcasing his exceptional capabilities and innovative thinking.<\/p> <\/div>\n \n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/section><\/div>\n\n

\n Mark Teal \n Chief Marketing Officer<\/span> <\/h3>\n \n
\n

Mark is a seasoned veteran in the realm of advertising and marketing technology, with a track record that spans over two decades. His journey began in 2002 at Leo Burnett, where he worked on local and regional accounts before joining Batey to spearhead regional operations for Singapore Airlines.\u00a0Mark then transitioned to running Singapore\u2019s largest telco account Singtel from 2013 to 2016.<\/p>\n

That same year, Mark joined Digitas as Business Development Director where he invested all of his time on new business with a focus on building Digitas\u2019s capabilities around CRM and CMS build and design projects. His role of Head Of Business Development in 2019 saw Mark grow the agency’s headcount threefold.\u00a0 \u00a0Since then, Mark has worked across data analytics consultancy, helmed the digital marketing team at StarHub and returned as Head Of Business Development at Wunderman Thompson where he further honed in on marketing technology partnerships as well as creative and technology related pitches.<\/p> <\/div>\n \n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n
