VCCP rewards loyalty and experience

As part of VCCP’s growth plans, two of its leading personnel have been promoted to the top jobs in their respective fields; Sophie Maunder becomes Head of Planning and Jon Boardman, Head of Account Management.

Both will now work across the entire VCCP client base including O2, Five, Metro, Texaco and Dunhill.

Maunder has been with VCCP’s planning department for five years. She says: “I adore the planning process, being able to develop the strategic overview for brands.  It can be immensely rewarding, and being recognised for one’s achievements is equally gratifying.  I am, therefore, thankful to have been recognised for work done.

“VCCP is respected and recognised for its dedication to effectiveness in the planning quote, and ability to take new brands, develop their identity and help them grow.  I intend to uphold and develop these practises.”

Boardman was originally with Heresy, the agency purchased by VCCP three years ago.  He maintained many of his original clients including Texaco, which recently won New Media: Best Commissioned Animation at the British Animation Awards. He said: “As VCCP continues expanding it is important the account teams have a breadth of experience and knowledge, and I am pleased to be tasked with such a valuable remit.”

Michael Sugden, himself recently elevated to Managing Director of VCCP, having previously been Managing Partner, said: “Both Sophie and Jon have shown a dedication to their work and the agency and it is only natural that their talents should be rewarded in such a fashion.”
