The Carbon Trust is launching its first brand advertising campaign through its new retained agency VCCP with a £1m support.
VCCP was tasked with creating a campaign that communicates the full breadth of the Carbon Trust's activity in working with UK businesses and the public sector to help them reduce CO2 emissions, whilst also highlighting the exciting business opportunities presented by the low carbon economy.
Michael Sugden, Managing Partner of VCCP says: "The Carbon Trust is the most established and highly respected carbon reduction company, and we wanted to create a campaign that showcased not only the work that's been done with UK business to date, but that also conveyed the business benefits of working towards a low carbon economy."
The Carbon Trust is an organisation that helps UK businesses and the public sector develop effective and commercially viable carbon reduction strategies across all areas of their business, from in house emissions reduction to supply chain analysis. It has an enviable track record of achievements and works with 32 of the top 100 FSTE companies.
The press lead campaign, aimed at senior decision makers, consists of a series of different executions to depict the diversity of the Carbon Trust through various breakthrough stories. An inspiring case study on each execution is delivered in a poetic format, with colour wash backdrops in an array of colours that integrate the campaign, giving it a visual as well as literary narrative.
Sugden of VCCP says: "It is important that the campaign conveys the full breadth of the Carbon Trust offering and encourages senior business people to contact it to find out how their companies can work on their own carbon reduction strategy to benefit both their bottom line and the environment."
Vanessa Gibbin from the Carbon Trust says: "We wanted a campaign that 'stands out' and that highlights the carbon reduction opportunities we offer to the growing number of CEOs who are actively seeking to reduce their companies’ carbon footprint."
The campaign breaks during the first week of June in national press and will be supported by online work handled by Tequila. Media planning is handled by Manning Gottlieb/OMD.
