She joins VCCP from Naked where she was the Strategy Director on Orange, Boots and Sony.
After winning a WPP Marketing Fellowship in 1997, Amelia worked in London and New York as a Strategic Planner for a broad range of agencies such as MindShare, the multi-National OgilvyOne and OgilvyInteractive (New York), Berlin Cameron/Red Cell (New York) and JWT. Amelia has enjoyed successful relationships with such clients as Unilever, AT&T Wireless, Shell and The Coca-Cola Company.
Amelia Torode says: "My background has always been really integrated – planning in ad agencies, media, digital and direct. I’ve always disliked having to think and work in defined silos. VCCP is an interesting place for me to move after Naked as I really wanted to be in an agency that fully embraced integration."
"The digital space is fascinating for me because so much power is being transferred to the consumer – I love the fact that people are creating their own mash-up ads, are going to user review sites to hear real people’s opinions as opposed to Fleet Street journalists. It is an incredibly exciting time to be working in this area."
Adrian Coleman, Founding Partner of VCCP, says "Amelia has great energy, drive and the skills to develop digital marketing/communications strategies and achieve our campaign's key objectives."
